Happy Birthday, Capricorn!
Welcome to the start of winter, welcome to Capricorn. Capricorn starts the rest and planning phase of the year. Without rest, we can’t get ready for spring. The Capricorn time period is a great time to stop and think about the future. No wonder it is so popular to make New Year’s resolutions!
This Capricorn card has some nice detail. The Cardinal is popped up with foam squares, the Capricorn symbol has a heart, and the symbol also has a small piece of bling for sparkle. This card is easy to make, and it gorgeous when it’s done.

For 2012 – I made 2 Capricorn cards. The first is a birthday card (of course!). The 2nd card is a “home at winter” card. Both cards have rich jewel tones. These beautiful, rich colors print best on photo paper, Cardstock absorbs and richness and doesn’t look nearly as good. In my youtube video I show the difference on printing with these 2 papers. (Link at the bottom of this blog entry).
Here are links for the free 4×6 photographs to make this card. You can send these photos out for printing at a regular photo developer – but turn OFF color correction.
